Not sure if anybody still plays this on here, but does anybody think the game, without modding, goes WAY too fast? It feels like I hit Medieval before I even hit 0 AD. It's a fun game, no doubt, and I enjoy the 1 unit per tile, but the tech goes way too fast.

Can't say. After trying the Demo I decided against purchasing it. Just didn't seem as fun as previous Civs.

I think it goes too fast as well. I like the long game and I'd be happy to have last twice as long.

There is a mod that I found that seemingly does the trick. Surprisingly, the timeframe usually fits alright. The name slips my mind...

SpeedRepacing, on Replaced Epic, is a good game for me.

shit, so THAT'S where that freaking Steam program came from

My computer kinda makes a sad effort to run the game, then crashes. :(

Steam annoying? Steam is the best thing to happen for PC Gaming in the last 10 years.

Very true. Without Steam, it feels like the PC gaming market would be dead.
