You know what would be news...

If the party in power actually did something, good or bad, that has never been done before by the opposition when they were in power.

Leave a steaming double-coiler on the speaker's chair?

Wouldn't be surprised if both those things had been done before... more than once. 8O

... I'm not the one who said that "The blame belongs to Harper and Christie Clark. Harper for setting up the temp worker program that makes it so easy to screw Canadians out of jobs".

Agreed, you're not the one who said that. What you said, to paraphrase, was "But...but...but...THE LIBERALS!!!!!" And I said--and still hold--that after 8 years that excuse is getting a little tiresome. And I said--and I still hold--that when you blame everything on the previous Liberal government while calling someone out for being partisan, you're living in a glass house and throwing stones.

If I was to venture a guess and this program had been a resounding success with people praising it, the left would be basking in it's glory as having been the ones who initiated it.

Yes, and if Princess Pony land were real the sky would be full of unicorns farting rainbows.

Speculation is all welll and fine and blindly partisan, but, in the immortal words of Todd Bertuzzi "It is what it is."

And in comparison, the wages of an itinerant field worker earns, make an IT worker or Mine Worker seem more like Donald Trump than just middle class.

And I said--and still hold--that working level IT staff at Royal Bank are middle class.

I take it you don't enjoy watching Bill Maher?

Anyway getting back to the facts, the current Gov't has like I said screwed the pooch on this and has to fix it, which from all appearances they're attempting to do. But if correcting an inaccurate statement that gave a false impression is blaming the Liberals then guilty as charged and I'm as partisan as the next guy. [B-o]

By the same token next time there's a successful Gov't program (like our current Banking Regulations) started by the Liberals and carried on by the Conservatives I'll be sure to refrain from mentioning who started it because if a party can't be blamed for a problem program after a certain period of time, they certainly can't be praised for any successes after that elapsed period of time either.

But since we're on the Sports Celebrity quote wagon always remember the words of the immortal Yogi Berra.

“If the world was perfect, it wouldn’t be.”
