Hi My situation is such that I am a canadian citizen and I am in love with a non-resident non-canadian girl . She happens to be a muslim and in their religion, women cant marry non muslim men. Thats what the religion says but not her. She doesnt care about that . Her parents offcourse will be against it . In the middle east, they wont hesitate to kill her if she goes back. She & I offcourse fear that and I want to safe guard her here in canada. The options I see are marriage, common law etc but I want to know the provisions which the law provides to safeguard the interests of the couple in such a situation in cases where there are such threats to a couple. If her student visa expires, she will be forced to go back and I probably fear the worst in that case. Can you tell me what are the different options I have in this situation regarding the marriage laws,other laws etc. Incase she goes back, do they give emergency visas ,etc if I go there to get her. I wont have time to sit and apply for visas. What Freaking crazy men would be out there to kill us. I'd really appreciate your suggestions and help. P.S : all the fanatics, I love her and by your words , i wont be leaving her or converting anyways. So plz dont bother leaving ur hate remarks. We are all human beings , dont get man made religious rules in between.I wish you guys understood love . & Dont bother about if shes using me for citizenship and all that stuff please. |
