Polls opened at 9:30 am and will remain open till 9:30 pm.
In Ontario you are allowed up to three hours paid company time to go vote.
Today is my day off.

How can the company know for sure if you bunk off work to go vote then go catch up pn grocery shopping instead. Are you required to get some sort of receit?

Polls in Bc were supposed to have opened at 7 AM local time, according to CBC
$1:
And voters on the West Coast in the Pacific time zone can start voting at 7 a.m. and will find polls open until 7 p.m.

I guess the polls opening 1&1/2 hours earlier then Ontario is the gov'ts way of trying to lessen the effect of BC voting after the election has already been decided. A sensible compromise and exactly the type of thing that a gov't gets right but no-one notices.

Beautiful day. My wife and myself just been out to vote.
Took the dog with us but they they would not let her vote for the Canine party.

I thought federal law said you were to have four hours to vote. If the polls are open 8 to 8, and you work 9-5 - you can get off at 4 to have your four hours. If you work 8-4 your work owes you nothing.
I could be wrong on the four hours though. Maybe I should've googled it first....brb...

The deed has been done...polling station for me is about 400 feet away at a seinors manor ...couple more years and I will just have a short move
