Greetings!!!!

If you are in the Central Kent county area, you will see me on my annual visit to this province. I live in Ontario, but lived in NB for years, and visit at least once a year!!!!!

Darlings Island is where I grew up. Fredericton is now where I call home eight months of the year.

Never lived in New Brunswick. I have visited the Ormucto area and have some friends on base around there. I love the east coast though. Lived in Dartmouth NS for 3 years.

I've spent 4 of the last 5 summers in New Brunswick, it's my favorite destination for summer vacations. I love the people, they are so warm and welcoming. My grandfather was from Dalhousie, and one of my closest friends moved to Moncton (actually Dieppe) 2 summers ago.

Hope to return again this summer.

Hey guys and gals. I'm originally from Miramichi, I just bought a home in Fredericton. Love it here to be honest... especially in the summer, there's not a more beautiful place.

I can't believe I found this site.I am American.I was in the air force in 1985.Stationed in northern Maine on the Canadian border. Not much nightlife in norhern Maine.Allthe action was across the border in Grand Falls N.B.The Broadway club was where I spent most of my time.I met my wife there. That was a partying little town!I had a great time there.Good honest hard working people.I'll never forget how one night my jeep would not start.I was under the hood tinkering when someone offered a ride back to the base, but we had to leave in a hurry. The next day I went back for my jeep and there was my tool box, open and still sitting on the bumper. No tools missing.I have been all over the world, not to many places I have been would that be the case.

I got out of the Air Force and stayed in grand falls for a while.I used to do a lot of trout fishing in the streams.I miss the fishing, and my Alpine lager.I was new to Canada.I assumed that Alpine was a national brand. As I traveled through Quebec and Ontario,I realized that Alpine was a regional drink, available only in the Maritimes. What a shame. What I would give for a case of Alpine now!

I realize that there is a good deal of tension between the English and the French in Canada.I have never seen an example of two different cultures coexisting so well as New Brunswick. The Acadian culture is very alive and spans the border in that area.A lot of the people in norhern Maine speak French first in thier homes and business.I realize that I am rambling, and will cut it short. My point is that New Brunswick is my favorite place that I have lived as I have travelled around the world. It is a shame that the economy in New Brunswick forces so many people to leave. If I was retired and had an income I could count on,I would love to move back to Grand Falls.Beautiful, safe, peacefull, wonderfull New Brunswick.
