And while their lopsided victory is great, until there are more than 2 countries who can play womens hockey properly it'll remain pretty much a novelty to the rest of the hockey world.

Good fundamentals, much like womens Basketball. :D

The Canadians will play Russian this evening after the latter beat the Swiss 2 to 1. Hayley is expected to be back in the line-up tonight even though she is still in pain from a previous back injury. The U.S. will play Finland. Canada topped Pool A with 8 pts while Russia topped Pool B with 9. Looking forward to a great game.

GO CANADA GO. ROCK THE ICE, LADIES

The U.S. played the better game of hockey yesterday and deserve the win. Congratulations to Team USA.

That said, our ladies didn't exactly make it hard for them. All the skills that were obvious during the tourney were noticeably absent in the Gold Medal game. Where was the great puck handling, forechecking, passing and defence visible all through the prelims? Team Canada also lacked discipline taking penalty after penalty giving the US chances to leap ahead on the scoreboard. Not our best game for sure.

Congratulations on the Silver ladies but next time bring come with some fire in your bellies. Either that or we may just as well meet once a year and exchange the trophy being that we are the only two teams able to make it to the final.
