:( My sentiments exactly.........not that I am unhappy for the USA ......but I hate having shoot-outs decide such an important game for both teams. Finland did well to overcome the 2 zip deficit to force OT.. too bad they couldn't get it done then. Congrats to Team USA who have now won a medal in every single international tourney this season.

Well the 2nd period pretty well belonged to Sweden. I hope the Swiss own this one - their last chance at Gold. Coming from behind it is going to be tough against Sweden.

Great game so far with score at 2 to 1 for Sweden.

Switzerland came into the final with a 9 and 0 record and were the favored team as many questions surrounded the Swedish team. The addition of the Sedin twins to the line-up answered them quickly. Henrik scored two goals in this game - one an empty netter late in the 3rd that was reminiscent of the one he scored to advance his team to the final round.

Congratulations to Team Sweden. Well done.

Team Switzerland will wear the Silver which is in itself a huge accomplishment for this team. It is the furthest this team has ever come in any international hockey game..........VERY WELL DONE. They will most definitely be a team to watch in the future. Welcome to the World Stage of Hockey. As much as I like to see my country bring home medals, I was glad to see these two teams in the final.........it is great for international hockey and the future of the IIHF. Great Championship. Thanks to all the teams for some fabulous hockey.

Maybe the Sedins should stay in Sweden and continue to play with the national team there, as they are far more suited playing International Hockey than they are to the "rock-em-sock=em" NHL style hockey, especially when it comes to the playoffs. :)

Yeah, I am, have been ever since they joined the NHL back in the 70-71 season. I am also realistic and will admit that while the Sedins are both great hockey players they are much more suited to playing International Hockey than they are to the NHL style of hockey, especially when it comes to the playoffs. Basically, they are finesse players, not the hard hitting grinders of the NHL.

Agree, they are great regular season and international hockey players, but can't deal with the grind that the NHL playoffs present.
