The Young Guns should be fun. I heard you might be able to watch it on line.

I'm hoping maybe the Canucks site will link us when the time comes.

Not to optimistic myself. I was checking out our roster. We've got a bunch of offensive defense men, and defensive offencemen.

Edmonton, Calgary, and Winnipeg have been drafting high. They've got stars.

Oh well...some of our kids have potential. I'm going to hope to be surprised.

About the only chance of seeing these games will have to be on-line as the World Cup of Hockey preliminary round also starts on the 17th, with Canada playing Team Czech Republic at 5:00pm PT.

Too bad they weren't here last year. They could have introduced themselves to Pedan.

Oh well...maybe if they make the big club.

BTW, are you watching?

Here's your guys.

$1:
Jesse Puljujarvi — the Oilers’ first-round pick, fourth overall, at June’s Entry Draft — will attend the National Hockey League club’s rookie camp starting tomorrow and is slated to suit up in blue and orange for the Young Stars Classic in Penticton, B.C., Friday through Monday.

Puljujarvi sat out the Oilers’ July prospects development camp while recovering from knee surgery.

The annual tournament features prospect squads of the Oilers, the Calgary Flames, the Winnipeg Jets and the host Vancouver Canucks.

Other players attending rookie camp include Oilers’ second-round pick Tyler Benson plus defenceman Matt Benning and forwards Drake Caggiula and Patrick Russell, three U.S. college players who signed with the Oilers as free agents in the off-season.

Damn. Stupid Edmonton just scored. :(

Just kidding A_r  Although your guys did just score.

Labate 6'4" just had a fight with Edmonton's Betker 6'6". No real winner.

Edmonton's stupid goaltender is making some good, stupid stops. :D

4-1 for Edmonton, but strangely enough Vancouver didn't look half-bad losing.

The two little guys for Vancouver - Troy Stecher and Michael Carcone - impressed and are going to be hard to overlook. Subban is looking like he'll be ready to move up soon. We're going to be a team of Smurfs maybe.

On Edmonton, their # 1 draft pick Puljujarvi is a beast, and the Goaltender Ellis was making jaw-dropping stops.
