These games don't mean anything, but they're looking good so far. I feel confident that they'll build on last years results and be better than last season. I feel that way every year, so it may not mean anything!! :D:D

I do the same thing. Every year I think, "Ohhh this is the year! They came close last year so surely with the off season trades and blah blah blah" But seriously ... this is the year! :) Avoid injuries and score some more goals and we've got us a cup!

I don't think I can remember a pre-season when the kids trying to break in have looked this promising for Vancouver.

Could it be? Is it possible? Vancouver is developing Bench strength? We've never seen that before.

I was getting a little tired of watching Team Sweden play, but with some hungry, talented kids waiting in the minors this season looks more fun. Especially come playoff time when the Swedes start their vacation.

From the looks of it, this season we are going to be seeing a lot more one goal games. Aside from two blowout games, Vancouver has four, one goal preseason games already. Tonight we play the Oilers in Edmonton for the last preseason game. The game is on SNET-P at 5:00 PM. The first Canucks game of the 2007-08 season is Friday 5 Oct against San Jose in Vancouver at 7:00 PM, also on SNET-P.

So I guess McGillis isn't getting another crack at the NHL after all? I liked the story of the hard nosed defenseman that puts the team first and all that. It's a shame.

Possible line-ups for the season’s opener:

Impressive in pre-season action, Ryan Kesler is slated to skate between Markus Naslund and Ryan Shannon to create some dynamic offense.

Mason Raymond, who stepped up when called upon certainly opened eyes when he saw time on a line with the Sedins.

Coach Alain Vigneault said that the line consisting of Matt Cooke and Taylor Pyatt, centred by Brendan Morrison started to create some chemistry that could be very promising.

Two forwards will be sitting out Friday night's opener but Coach V hasn't given up that information yet.
