I don't know if any of you guys follow the AHL but our Milwaukee team is the Admirals. Me and my dad usually get season tickets but we skipped out this year because of my work/school schedule. Last time was the first night I had free to catch a game but unfortunately my dad wasn't able to make it. So I had to bring 2 of my friends :? They don't watch/follow hockey...or sports for that matter. So I had to deal with a lot of "ugh, how much longer is the game", "I want some fries", "I need to go out for a smoke", "whats happening", "blah blah bitch bitch" :P

Last night was a home game agaisnt Houston.
Admirals- 3
Houston- 2

1st period- Houston scored twice. Admirals weren't doing so well and working as a team.
2nd period- Milwaukee came back and scored two.
3rd period- Milwaukee scored a final goal. Milwaukee then saved within the last 5 second of the game.

As of now Milwaukee is ranked first in the western division. Thursday they are playing Iowa (going to ditch out of school early for that one :D )

Here are some pics for those interested...

I know guys that played for both those teams. It's good hockey and quite affordable too.

Yeah for real :( All I got is 4X optical zoom. And I never use the digital zoom.

Yeah the game was only $3. But normally its about $12-$14.

AHL games are pretty cool, I follow the Moose. Mainly cause they're the Canucks farm team. I'm thinking that was an unusual AHL game, no pics of fights...

That's a huge stadium. Do AHL teams fill up arenas that size normally? :?

^It depends on the game. Typically that's pretty much the average attendance for a weekend game. Now our stadium isn't just for hockey though. Its used for basketball games, concerts, assembly's, speeches, so it has a very large possible capasity. I think Obama and Bush gave speeches there...its really big. Its also right across the street from my college so skipping school early on Thursday will be simple :D

And there were only three fights...I missed two of them due to my friends.

Hey Coaster: There's a kid from my hometown on the Admirals - Nick Spaling, played in the OHL last year with Kitchener.

One of the guys I played with in the summers had his number retired with them last year. Think he was one of the all time leading scorers for them as well.
