Thanos Thanos: I stand statistically corrected. But if you asked Iggy right now how he feels about his season he'd probably rip your head clean off your shoulders in response. right so he sets his own standards really high. that's just endearing, but i doubt he would be mad if i suggested to him that he is among the most elite players in the league.

Well folks, we could sit here and analyse the shit out of this pathetic post season, but lets face the truth here. 1. our star player and captain was non existant for all but 1 game 2. our goal scorers were not scoring 3. our D sucked ass, the rookies were thrown into it, the vetrans were hurt and the mediocre guys like aucoin and erikson did not step up enough 4. our goalie lets in 1 out of every 5 thrown at him in the first 5 minutes of the game (in last nights case 3 goals in 9 shots) 5. phaneuf is over rated and makes mistakes all the time 6. going down in the first round is apparently habit forming as they have done it 5 years in a row now. Go Canucks i guess. |

There's tons of hidden Bruins (i.e. me) and 'Hawks fans out there who'd rather die than cheer for the Canucks. Vancouver won an opening playoff round against a St. Louis team that hasn't seen playoffs for about five or six years. You ain't won jack shit yet. And even if you beat Chicago you probably have Sauron and Mordor in Detroit to look forward to. The only thing Canucks fans can say right now is that, as opposed to the Brokeback Oilers, you aren't quite yet the suckiest bunch of sucks who ever sucked. Very close, mind you, but not quite. So don't be all tasteless like Oilers fans were at the opening of this last season and start giving yourselves the Cup yet, especially since your odds of being in the same room with the sainted trophy are still minimal at best.
