Canada seeks its sixth straight gold medal at the World Junior Hockey Championship in Regina and Saskatoon, Dec. 26 - Jan. 5. Patrice Cormier is the new Captain Canada. On Saturday, Team Canada's coaching staff announced the Rimouski Oceanic forward would wear the 'C' at the upcoming IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship. Team Canada's quest for a sixth straight World Junior Championship gold medal will unofficially get underway tonight when they face Sweden in exhibition action at the Brandt Centre in Regina Saskatchewan. The game can been seen live on TSN2 and TSN2 HD at 8pm et/5pm pt. |

That's always a good tournament. And it's funny also, especially when a bunch of noobs from Sweden invade the thread during the Championship game. |

wow....lighting those Swedes up but good. Exhibition games really have no meaning, but this is a good game for Canada, great type of game for them to familiarize themselves with each other. |
