Hi canadians,
my wife and I will go to canada again (yes!) and would like to watch an icehockey match. As we are living in germany, have to spend the time from sept. 11 to sept. 25, and we do not have a clue how to get all the information necessary, I am afraid that we will leave canada again without having seen a match.
Does the season start at oct. 1st? For all leagues? (I am afraid it does...)
Is there a chance to have an overview about all league-matches and possible additional pre-seasonal (training-)matches? We will travel around in the east, starting in Toronto, Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, algonquin national park, back to Toronto by car.
Thank you for your help!

I'm sure if you go to NHL.com and click on the nhl teams individual websites, they will have a list of pre-season games. (or if they don't now, they will before too long) Also check the OHL and QMJHL webites for the pre-season listings for major junior hockey. Hope that helps

Thank you very much! After going to nhl.com and to te maple leafs, they announced pre-season matches yesterday. two of the dates would fit perfectly to our travel plan.
my next question now is: how do i get the tickets? there is only the option to choose season-seats...
is there a special ticket-seller in the internet?

Ticketmaster sells hockey tix online, you should also be able to purchase them from the individual teams websites.

If you are able to catch tickets for it (good luck, dude!), try the Montreal Canadiens ;)

Damn, do you guys know, how exactly to get the tickets for the maple leafs?
Also is there anything else you would recommend? What about baseball or football? what about soccer? are all seasons starting in october? we need to see something from sept. 11 to sept. 24

The Blue Jays (baseball) have five home games and the Argonauts (Football) have one home game in your time frame.

And since you are going to be in that area of the country, don't forget the Ottawa Senators for hockey as well as Montreal.
