DrCaleb DrCaleb:

And no word at all on how they will come up for the $15B in promises.

Any idea how the Liberals/Dippers/Greens would pay for the $30/40/50/60 billion worth of their promises, beyond "taxing carbon" that is? :?

Greens have said (earlier in the the thread) elimination of tax loopholes, etc. Dippers would do the same, and impose a 1% tax on savings over $20M.

And cause massive cost increases for the Canadian customers of the services they've decided are "getting away with it", like Netflix. Or make those services shut down altogether by making Canada a place too costly to bother with anymore. And the middle/working-classes get shafted just as bad (or worse) by shutting down the few loopholes they're able to use to reduce their tax burden. Either way the customer/taxpayer gets screwed over by this insanity.

Voting tomorrow for freedom and prosperity. Voting #peoplesparty. Moose Jaw, Lake Center, Lanigan, Chey Craik. We will bring common sense back to Canada. Support MAXIME BERNIER.

That's always been the way it is. But at least some plans include the people hiding money offshore get to share in some of the burden, for once. I for one am happy to share 1% of every $20M I have in the bank.

If we want to save our environment, it'll be a pretty tough slog. But we've done it before, in WWI and WWII. All there has to be is the commitment to get it done.

Too bad the ideas & solutions that the activists want everyone to commit themselves to will be about as successful as the French commitment to the Maginot Line turned out to be. Did any of the Extinction Rebellion protests, endorsed by three of the Canadian political parties, shut down the entrance to the thermal-coal shipping facility in the Port of Vancouver? No? Thought not.

Because actual Journalists don't print unsubstantiated rumours.

Too bad it's not true, given it allegedly happened at the same school where Trudeau went all Amos & Andy for Halloween. Like the women say, once you go black(face) you never go back.

Agreed in full, Thanos.

The good thing is that the Dippers and Greens will never form a federal government so none of their insane ideas will ever be implemented in full.

The bad thing is that the Liberals will mooch some of those ideas from the Dippers and Greens and implement them enough to cause lots and lots of damage to both the taxpayers and to the overall investment climate. Bills C-48 and C-69 are proof enough of how far Trudeau will go to the left in order screw over any industry that ends up in the Liberals' cross-hairs.

The solutions would have been easier and cheaper 30 years ago, when Hansen presented his evidence. Instead, big oil has spent the last 30 years funding the deniers, and passing the bill to the next generation. Now the bill is getting larger, and the young'uns don't want it getting higher.

I hope the Extinction Agenda does more of their civil disobedience! In the end, it's how women, blacks, Indians etc. got their approximation of equality. Perhaps that it what it will take for society to change.

It's how the Nazi, communist, French revolutions started out also. Protest's, Marches, civil disobedience. They led to a dramatic change in society also. 8O

Everybody always forgets that dramatic change is essentially rolling the dice. You may get beneficial change, you may not.

Planned change would be better. But that way, nobody gets to be the special side (no money in it)....and, quite frankly, it is boring.
