Yeah, the CWB thing is just another example of Harper's disdain for the law and for our democratic institutions. He would give us the best democracy his corporate cronies could buy if we let him.

Conservatives don't like to comment on the CWB because it's a dangerous issue for them in Saskatchewan and Manitoba and could turn a few of their rural seats, especially those north of the Trans Canada Highway but south of the canola belt.

It's actually pretty funny though...two days into the campaign and Harper doesn't seem willing to talk about any issue. Instead he misrepresents the positions of the other parties. Also, he didn't let his candidate in Richmond speak to the press this morning. I wonder how Conservative candidates feel about facing the next month with their mouths duct-taped shut?

The past? You mean like when Harper complained about Asian immigrants in BC or accused Newfoundland of having a culture of defeat?

Ask BDC president François Beaudoin about that.

Remember this one?

$1:
A former vice-president of Groupaction, told Charles Guité's fraud trial Wednesday that he feared for his life if he were to blow the whistle on what he saw as suspicious goings on between his ad agency and former prime minister Jean Chretien's office.

"I wasn't interested in having a hunting accident in my living room," he testified. Lambert, who quit Groupaction in 2001, said he felt like his was trapped in a system with many tentacles, at the centre of which was Chretien.

Here's a man who was afraid that PM Chretien might have him killed.
.. and the Canadian media just looked the other way.
