peck420 peck420: bootlegga bootlegga: $1: Despite these improvements, drought impacts on overdrafted groundwater basins, forests, and aquatic species in California are long term and will take multiple above-average precipitation years to be resolved. This is a dream people need to stop buying into. Even if all of California's water capacity was refilled to 100%, it will not last very long. The strain is just too many magnitudes higher than the capacity. They need to invest in other methods of water production, or move to areas with more resources available. I prefer moving locations, but that is because I am jaded by the plethora of human environmental modifications that have failed us so many times. I can agree with that sentiment, even if deep down, I'd love to consider retiring to California someday. |
