A great game by the Lions tonight beating the Stamps in Calgary!

It is going to get interesting in these last few weeks of the season as far as standings go and as to who may end up being the cross over team from the West to play in the East come playoff time.

We're going to go to the game here next Friday against Edmonton [B-o]

It was a great game, Strutz. BC outplayed the Stumps and were well-deserving of the win. Even happier to see that Travis survived with no further injuries. Hope you enjoy the game on Friday.

It was freaking awesome!

I think it was their best game of the entire season, Strutz. They were a complete team on both sides of the ball. They've definitely proven that they deserve a spot in the play-offs.

My Riders play today and I have no idea what to expect - none. I have no faith what-so-ever in McAdoo and our so-called offense. But it is what it is and hopefully the defense and STs will manage to put points on the board as is our usual way of scoring.

Who were those guys dressed in our Green and White uniforms lined-up on the offensive side of the ball yesterday? They most certainly didn't resemble the same group that had been so thoroughly squashed in their game against Winnipeg last week. All of a sudden we had an O-line that not only managed to get downfield to the red zone but were able to cross the goal-line - time and again against the best team in the CFL. The Jekyll and Hyde offense that has been our Achilles heel all season long somehow, someway managed to pull off a win that all but the most die-hard fans thought would go the other way. To say I am still in a pleasant state of shock would be putting it very mildly.

My guess is that Jones finally told McAdoo to shit or get off the pot because his 5 yard crossing routes weren't cutting it. Once we went aerial it gave our o line more time to pick up their assignments resulting in much better blocking. Well that and the fact we finally got a running back threat back in Cameron Marshall which made a big difference.

The only downside was that Charleston Hughes didn't get to flatten BLM which would have made his and most of the Rider fans day. But a win is a win especially against the Stumps who, because of our record of 2 wins vs 1 loss to them means they can no longer claim they're the best team in Canada.

I would add, Freakin' that having Williams-Lambert back on the field showed how valuable his contributions are to the team.

It most certainly will be, Strutz especially with the Lions now in contention - which makes the Riders win on the weekend even more important as far as the standings go.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers handed Calgary their 5th loss of the year last night and in doing so eliminated the Edmonton Eskimos from the play-offs. Great game by Nicols and crew. Thought that the Stumps would be better prepared after losing to the Riders last week but it was Mike O'Shea's gang who demonstrated their ability to overcome any schemes that Dickenson had in mind. Great to see Boo and crew go down to defeat - again.

I think they forgot to send the actual Lions team on this road trip game. 8O

/sarcasm off/

Our guys just did not play well today. The O and the D were equally not all there. Looks like we will be the cross over team to the East. Oh well, at least we'll still have a legit shot at it.

Blue Bombers are locked and loaded, and ready for the playoffs! Nichols beat the Stamps for the first time in his career, and that is HUGE. A big monkey is now off his back. If that doesn't give him confidence, nothing will.

GO BOMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

During the game, Cuthie and Suits were mentioning some remarks that Wally made about playing in Mosaic and how it wasn't only the team they had to worry about as the 13th man played a big part in the game. Got a real kick out of that.

It just wasn't your guys day, Strutz. Hard to get downfield when you are pinned deep in your own zone again and again by our STs who did an outstanding job. Did you happen to see the stats that they flashed up on the screen during the game about how over half of our defensive guys have scored TDs this year? Another reason that teams have a hard time scoring against us when our D is playing all out.
Glad your Lions will be in the cross-over and get another chance at playing in the Cup.

Great game by Nicols and crew, CP. Extremely happy to see them hand the Stumps their 5th loss of the season. Got a real kick out of Boo whining to the ref about that missed TD.....showing his true stuff there. LOL

Yes, I saw those stats. Quite impressive when your D is scoring the TD's. [B-o]

We shall see how it all plays out. Perhaps our teams will meet again...
