Post subject:  BC and the QB issue

Alright I love BC Lions and have total respect for Wally Buono but I am a bit on edge for the potential of BC's season this year. Will Wally pick Buck as the man this year? Or will he go with the whole, "I'd tell you but then I'd have to kill you" mentality with the local media about who is gonna start. I don't want another Effing Printers episode!
I'm not a fan of Jarious Jackson. He is too inconsistant! Spats of brilliant deperation with long rides of total average if not failure. Let's face it, BC's record was NOT due to Jackson but due to their D. Heck their D picked up more points some games than the Offense!
I dunno. Am I just nuts? Heck I'd rather see Guidugli with his little howitzer arm than Jackson!

I know what you mean... it almost sounds like Buono is going with Pierce or Jackson, depending on the team the Lions are playing.
Either this is because they are so close coming out of camp, and more time is needed to have one of them take the #1 job - or this is a new-fangled kind of gameplan that I would be skeptical of until the stats are in.

Guidugli is now released - which is also a bit of a surprise.
I thought Wally was his top fan.

I see QB controversy potential in several places:
BC - Pierce vs. Jackson
CGY - Burris vs. Dickenson
SSK - Crandell vs. Jyles/Durant
TOR - Joseph vs. Bishop

BC and TOR due to both teams having 2 guys as possible starters, with no real winners so far.
CGY and SSK - if the named #1 players (Burris and Crandell) struggle, there will be pressure to go with the backup in a hurry.
The Toronto scenario could get downright stinky if things go sideways.

Edmonton could be added to the list, depending on which side of the argument you want to be on.
While it will not be a problem between Ray and Maas (Maas has always been content to play behind Ray), if Ray struggles (or the team starts slow) - the fans will put the pressure on.

Maas is one of those unique individuals, to be sure.
It doesn't appear he can play pro ball unless he has the double E on his helmet.
After whiffing in Hamilton and Montreal, he has picked up right where he left off with the Eskimos, in the preseason.
The Trevor Linden syndrome, if you will.

Well now after that terrible game vs Sask apparently Buono (or as my dad calls him, Bonehead) has stated that Jackson will still start next game.
I guess Buck 'Mr Glass Shoulder' Pierce is hurt?
sigh. Go BC Defense!
