Wow, those nature ones are amazing.. I hate you

Actually, my wife is an excellent artist but is having trouble translating that to computer. What program would you recommend for someone that can draw/paint but is still very new to doing art digitally?

For painting and sketching I would recommend ArtRage. It's like Corel Painter but much more user friendly and lighter on the computer. It's pretty cheap and is on sale now for $49.00 US...

OR she could try Artweaver. The FREE version is more then most novices would what....

I started out with Artweaver, then switched to Corel Painter but now I use Artrage...

For 3D rendering I use Vue Complete which is a little expensive but there is a PLE (personal learning edition) which you can download for free...

For true, "British car realism", do a version with the bonnet up and tools scattered all around it.

Journey from Desperation to Hope - inspired by the era of the Great Depression in North America and John Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath".. A time when many able bodied people fled the farms and rural country homes to seek employment and prosperity in the urban centers of the USA and Canada... Some found prosperity however most encountered disillusionment...

Drawn digitally by hand using Artrage 4.0 and my trusty Wacom Intuos tablet. Color correction using Photoshop Elements and Topaz Adjust plugin. No 3D was used in this image.
