Another upset. Germany 4, Argentina 0. So much for the South American finals. How about Germany vs Holland, that would be interesting.

That would be awesome :D
It's always a pleasure, although Germany might win this

(it was the first thing I thought about when I heard Germany kicked Argentina's butt :P)

We'll have to wait and see what Paul the octopus says.

Either way, Germany are now the heavy favourites. They demolished Argentina and have run riot over all comers so far.

Heh-heh-heh. Way to go Deutschlanders. 4-0? Like winning a CFL or NFL game about 36-0. Hope it really stings there, Mr. Hand Of "Fraud".

Germany does not have Muller in for the Semis, wonder how much that factors in. They still have other good players but they need all they can get.

They still have Klose. And besides, most of their menace comes from ther midfield with ozil and schweinsteiger.

Please spare us any further German pop music - German is just not a musical language. German classical composers (including Austrian), good stuff. German pop songs or opera - sounds like a Panzer attack.

Argentina fan eh? :P

Sorry, but it was event related. But yes, about the German pop "You Have Me" there, so no more pop or opera I promise.

I've found at least one good German pop singer: Juli

Though German is much more suited to metal:

Juli has a nice voice, but she just sounds like your generic American pop bimbo, except using a more awkward language.

As for Rammstein, that's just overkill, but then that's pretty typical for Germans. NeoWagner.

Always liked this one:

and this:

And of course this:

Actually I would like to see Germany take it, but maybe they could hire fans from a Latin country to sing their victory songs for them? I would guess the same goes for if Holland takes it, tho I've never heard any Dutch pop music - probably a blessing.

Hmmmmm...

This is old

You asked for pop, not for rock ;-)

Good enough for now? ;-)
Of course we have PLENTY of English singing Dutch artists (Herman Brood, Golden Earring, Anouk, Eddy Van Halen (yep, he is Dutch :)), Jan Hammer, Candy Dulfer and Hans Dulfer, Junky XL, and... DJ TIESTO ;-)
Hell, even Andre Rieu is Dutch!
