Queen's stuntman revealed in Twitter photo

One of the most talked-about segments of the show was the apparent skydive into the stadium by Daniel Craig as James Bond and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

A Queen doesn't "root".

Apparently, when the games close, the 'petals' that form the Olympic Cauldron will descend again and each participating country will be given one to take home. What they will do with them is anyone's guess.........but a cool idea just the same.

Canadians Add 2nd Bronze Diving Medal

Image
$1:
Canadian divers Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion added Canada's second medal of the London 2012 Olympic Games on Tuesday, finishing third in the women's synchronized 10-metre platform competition.

Benfeito, of Montreal, Que., and Filion, of Laval, Que., put together a superb list of five dives to earn 337.62 points on the way to their bronze medal.

Just one small slip -- a slight under-rotation in their fourth dive of the competition, the back 3.5 somersault -- marred their second Olympic appearance as a synchro pair. Benfeito and Filion finished seventh together at Beijing 2008.

Chen Ruolin and Wang Hao finished in first place on Tuesday to continue China's sweep of diving's gold medals, while Mexicans Paola Espinosa and Alejandra Orozco captured silver.

Canadian divers Émilie Heymans and Jennifer Abel also picked up bronze in the women's 3m synchro event on Sunday.

"What a start for the diving team," said CTVOlympics diving analyst, Blythe Hartley, an Olympic bronze medallist in her own right. "And they have so many more great performances to come."

The London 2012 diving competition continues Wednesday, Day 5, with Alexandre Despatie and Reuben Ross competing in the men's 3m synchro event. The diving duo finished fifth together at the 2012 World Cup, and picked up gold at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
