Is that a cheap shot at Kurt Browning and Brian Orser?

Jonny_C Jonny_C:
How come it seems that some of our former Olympians and best coaches are coaching other Olympic teams?

Curling (China), figure skating (Kurt Browning, Japan), bobsled (Pierre Luders, Russia) are all having strong showings/medals.

Brian Orser, former Canadian Men's Champion, also coaches other skaters - most famously Kim Yu-Na who won Gold in Ladies Figure Skating in Vancouver and in this Olympics, Yuzuru Hanyu who won the Men's Figure Skating Gold Medal. Brian is so much fun to watch when one of his protégé’s is on the ice as he mimics their every move and leaps for joy when they land difficult jumps.

Good on Canada for helping other countries - that's the Olympic spirit.

It's also sport-biz. We are watching a multi-billion dollar juggernaut.

Yeah, I know that's how it works. It's just a small annoyance. :)

Money talks.
