What, are the athletes able to eat their uniforms after wearing and sweating in them all day.

Wanna hear the punch line? They're made in China.

It's OK though, apparently they're Eco-friendly.

you know whats gonna be funny, when you see some cheesy european tourist wearing the outfit, walking down the street with his or her backpack!

Or Mr_Canada would wear this!

With the federal government and opposition parties angry over news that Canada's Olympic uniforms are being made in China, Tu Ly, one of the designers who created them, thinks it's "quite funny" that MPs have turned it into a political issue.

"I would like to challenge these politicians to give up their cell phones made in China or their TVs, then maybe they'd really be on an even plane," said Ly, who had just spent three days in Alberta meeting with members of Canada's Olympic team.

By the time Ly landed in Toronto last night, he had already heard that MPs had seized on the news the team's clothing for the Beijing games – which he and fellow Hudson's Bay Company designer Vivienne Lu created – are being produced in Chinese factories.

They really look like the pair of PJ's I wore when I was 4.

Yeah, I can hear the marketing team now: Reduces the amount of detergents required to wash them and solves the world food shortage at the same time! New edible recycled clothes! Available at a Wal-mart near you!

What an embarassment. Shame on Canada. Shame on The Bay for condoning this. Who designed this trash? Please step forward. If we keep having 'crap' made in China and other countries other than Canada, we won't be able to afford anything because we're ALL out of jobs!!!!

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada: They really look like the pair of PJ's I wore when I was 4. Holy crap!!! These uni's make Rita McNiel and Celine Dion look like super models! My kid's could design a better track outfit with their Etch-A-Sketch toy.
