Canada wins 2-1, although the game could have easily been another 5-0 win.

Anyone up early enough to see the opening ceremony this morning?

Watched almost the whole thing, and it's amazing - really, really well done.

My cousin use to be on the Team Canada Soccer Woman's team, she isn't anymore though. It's tough for them because they do not get paid, they got to work a job and then travel to a different country on there own money to go to these events and there boss's don't look to lightly to that, so they get constant shit from them.

I think shes going to back, or shes on it for a different sport because I remember my mom telling me she still does the whole part-time job and going to these events.

Anyways, Go Team Canada!!

Does anyone know where I can watch the opening cerimony over the internet? I have a feeling it'll be a while before anyone tops this Olympics.

I won't give it away, but apparently those involved (thousands and thousands, and that's not even considering the people behind the scenes) in the ceremony were training for the last 10 months, and it really shows.
