Post subject:  Songs for Canada

Hey, thought I would post a thread which listed songs to sing for our athletes in Vancouver.....

First off, Jerome Iginla....

Sung to the theme of the Beatles "From Me to You"

Iginnnnnnnnnlaaaaaaa, Igninlaaaaaaaa
If there's anything that you want,
If there's anything he can do,
Just give him the puck and he'll go through and score,
a goal for Canada....
Ignialllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Sung to "The Ants go Marching"

He won three cups with the Devils, Brodeur, Brodeur,
He a won a gold medal in Salt Lake City, Brodeur, Brodeur,
He plays for the Devils but is Canadian, Martin Brodeur is Canada's Number One,
Martin Brodeur Canada's number one,
Nahhhh, nahhhhh, nahhhh, nahhhhh,
etc.....

Sung to "Obladi Oblada"

M-A-R-L-E-A-U it's MARLEAU, Patrick, Patrick Marleau,
M-A-R-L-E-A-U it's MARLEAU, Patrick, Patrick Marleau,

He came from the Sharks to play forward,
He scores some big goals which are sublime,
If we had to choose between him and Modano,
We would choose MARLEAU every time,

M-A-R-L-E-A-U it's MARLEAU, Patrick, Patrick Marleau

Let's Go Canada, I wanna hear singing!

I wish people would sing more patriotic/folk songs like other countries do, unfortunately it seems everyone has forgotten them or was never taught them to begin with.
