$1: Venezuela’s vice president called in the nation’s top leaders Tuesday hours after ailing President Hugo Chavez apparently took a turn for the worse, and announced on national television that a U.S. embassy attaché was being expelled for meeting with military officers and planning to destabilize the country.

Please, we're pros at destabilizing countries. We wouldn't be so careless as to have a official embassy official meet directly with local military officers. |

The US as more than likely quite involved in the 2002 attempoted coup in Venezuela, and that failed. It wouldn't surprise me if they're active down there now as well. |

Zipperfish Zipperfish: The US as more than likely quite involved in the 2002 attempoted coup in Venezuela, and that failed. It wouldn't surprise me if they're active down there now as well. Well, of course they are. Castro's buddies too. I imagine the Chinese are busy seeing what kind of support they can garner as well. And Vlado may be on the phone in the morning. Which group of evil bastards would you like to have pulling strings ?

The VP of Venezuela ousted some US diplomats and is accusing the USA of poisoning Chavez. Which, if true, makes me a tad happier with Obama.
