They wanted to get the prick for anything they could and this was the ideal charge to bring him down. |

Wow, a government official actually getting sentenced... Damn near on par with the Ogopogo as far as myths are concerned. Forgive the pessimism, but I still doubt he'll see a day of prison |

Forgive the pessimism, but I still doubt he'll see a day of prison I'm sure he'll go to prison but I'm also equally sure that his jail cell will look somewhere along the lines of this:

I thought it was 17, that's the number I heard when this was made as an allegation. Edit: Article says the bunga-bunga parties happened in 2010, and the girl is 20 now. So she was 17. |

We're well aware it's all a political prosecution. Probably one of the few times any Italian male has ever been prosecuted for being with an underage "victim". If Silvio hadn't created such a long track record of being a knob in public, and hopelessly corrupt even by Italian standards, they might have let this one go too. Obviously the chance to nail him for something, this or for fixing soccer matches, was too tempting for his enemies to ignore. |
