Not really. If constant recording is the price of stopping abuse then so be it. Criminals and bullies aren't going to stop their behaviour by appealing to them on a moral level because they have no moral core to appeal to at all. If a recording is what ends up putting a halt to them then that's just the way it is.

Apply that to other places of work for a moment e.g. hospitals. We already have all sorts of pics on Facebook that violate the privacy of patients.

The PC movement in universities is ridiculous but I can hold that idea in my head at the same time as wondering about a nation of Little Brothers and Sisters recording constantly and sometimes illegally.

It's also sad that sometimes people feel they have to record things in order to be sure of just consequences. I've never felt I needed to protect myself from my co-workers.
