Movements don't generally disappear history without thinking they have something to replace it with.

This movement to erase history is most likely also a movement for a rewrite.

I'm all for a rewrite. A rewrite where I am the supreme chancellor, and we have fun things like summary-execution Saturdays, Stoning Sundays, Taco Tuesdays and clubbing Thursdays.
