The Holocaust= Genocide

Missing indigenous women is not a Genocide, unless Trudeau is alleging that the government is responsible. To think it is Genocide is a disservice to the victims of actual genocide.

But then the conservative Justice minister at the time stated publicly without offering any evidence that 70% of indigenous women killers were indigenous men and started the controversy. Eventually the head of the RCMP wrote a letter publicly saying his boss was correct but to this day no stats or evidence have been released to validate that claim.

Stupid comment in the JM part, but it is Criminology 101. Most victims know their assailant or are at least comfortable with their assailant.

This is political pandering and will only lead further divisions within the confederation.

The only reason the MMIW is still being kept alive is because leftists and certain Native groups don't like the obvious conclusion.

As already said you people REPEATEDLY, MMIW is not about what race the killer is, it’s about police refusing to properly investigate MMIW cases. Why is that so hard for you folks to understand?

So you Beaver wish the police, rightfully so, to do a better and more efficient job. At the same time you seem to just want to disregard the fact that in most cases of murder the perpetrator is Known to the victim and is most often of the same race. So Freakingoldguys assertions that the police need to investigate FN persons for the MMIV FN's woman holds a lot of weight. You instantly degraded him and his post. We all know you dislike any Conservative and or politically right thoughts and suggestions. Yet by the utter dismissal of of a very valid point you make it less likely that anyone will take your statements with in validity. Just my .02 cents of a thought on this matter.

I'll ad one more case of true Genocide. Well it covers many different Governments but in the same area. Native Americans sense the "discovery" of the America's the systematic killing off of the natives lasted well into the 1800's. This includes the Spanish, British, American Governments along with many central and S. American Governments.

You mean the cops with 38 officers stationed here, amidst 7 reserves, without a single native officer?

I wouldn't argue. The brunt of it was unintentional though. 95% of the indigenous deaths post-contact was from disease we brought over.

What does it mean to call Canada's treatment of Indigenous women a 'genocide'?

Organization of American States wants to probe MMIWG allegation of ‘genocide’

So, that Pandora's box is open now. :(

It’s true, many of them died of disease while we were massacring, enslaving, and forcibly relocating them

And since we stopped abducting their children by force for systematic physical abuse and sexual molestation in the 1990s we have nothing to feel bad about. Right?

I don't feel bad about anything. I was 16 when the last school closed. Please, try another card to attempt to shame me with.

To be clear: NOWHERE IN THE DATA does it say SAME RACE. It only says “known to victim” but they don’t define what that means... RCMP admitted it could mean anything, such as a casual acquaintance, a regular customer in the truck stop where the girl works, or a John if the woman works in the sex trade, or a friend of a friend of a friend that only briefly met the victim, once etc.

Again it comes down to cops doing shitty half ass work and everyone else desperate to make excuses and leap to absurd conclusions that FN people must only be known to other FN people.

Not only that, using the word genocide has implications under international law.

Yes, till you find out that the US Gov. and Army purposely gave some tribes blankets infected with small pox. Out of all the Genocides conducted and attempted it seems to me the USA has gotten away with it with far less condemnation then what any other Gov. has in the last 200-300 years.
