DrCaleb DrCaleb: I'm trying to figure out just how slow the news cycle has to be that anyone at all cares what one person, who doesn't matter, is up to. In other words "Shut up. This is uncomfortable to me." Also, you're wrong. This "Jessica Yaniv" story would be news anywhere and at anytime the totality of it was allowed to be told. You're wrong too Ray. As you may have noticed, I'm no longer stifled on this story. (Nice try though.) I've even called Jessica what seems now to be the more correct pronoun of "him." |

I think it's news because it's gotten to the point that Yaniv is 1) having people shut down on the web who disagrees with the way he/she is acting. 2) is suing people for not doing as he/she demands 3) Tried having a topless minors pool party where he/she was going to be the only adult allowed. Put all 3 things together spells serious trouble and red flags should be shooting up. This is more of a News thing like letting people know those two POS's had killed someone, be on the look out for them type deal. (vey bad analogy I know). Not as News as in acceptable and or debatable topic form as same sex marriage rights issue is/was. Thing is the 2-3 pages where we were talking about mental health was very broad and covered Yaniv, mass shooters, and how society is dealing with them and to what scale should society respond to changes needed vs demanded. Now it's back to … well what is going on now. |

You see, you can't possibly win by trying to divert from the issue with person insults. Because no matter how many times you try I can always do this: The issue is out there now and you can't put it back in the bottle no matter how bad you want to. |

It's also not news, because in any reasonable society none of those things will ever happen. I want a hot tub party with all of the topless Kardashians, but that also is never going to happen. It only matters to people who use the edge cases as the normal standard. |
