Fuck you - If you are that distraught you plead guilty, you murdered your babies. You can't forget your kids are in the backseat.

Read a bit of the article he dropped the 4 year old off at daycare but not the 1 year old twins. That doesn’t make sense

I "blanked out" and left my work phone at home today. But I remembered that I forgot it, like an idiot, when I got to work.

You don't "blank out" and forget children in a hot ass car in a New York City heatwave. For 8 hours.

This guy deserves the prison time/capital punishment he gets. And then some.

The pain this guy will live with for the rest of his life is far worse punishmnet than anything the state can do to him.

Don't know about the rest of you but when I am in my car and forget my phone I look in my car. Front seat, passenger seat, floor boards, and the freaking back seat. How the F do you not see your kids.

How do you not hear your kids?

He wen't to work and left them in the car?! Why didn't someone see them and say something? If it's hot out and there is a living critter or child in a car, that's the fastest way to get a smashed window and a call to the police.

They could have been sleeping. Not justfying just saying. I know my kids (older than 1 years old) would sleep in the back seat on long trips. Ohhh those peaceful moments. Never did forget they were back there just enjoyed the quiet time.

Agreed. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes his own life.

You know what's pathetic? Last year a cop did the same thing and yet they laid no charges. And he's not the only LEO or person working for the justice dept to have no charges laid for doing shit like this. Apparently, it's only criminal neglect causing death if you're just a regular civvy. If you're a cop, it's simply an accident and you clearly feel bad enough about what you did that no charges need to be laid. THAT is the state of the state of New York!

The pathetic excuse for not laying any charges was; To charge Mark Fanfarillo, McNamara said he'd need to prove the father knowingly left his child in the car. The DA said the law distinguishes between someone who leaves his child in a car knowing the child is there but not realizing the risk, and someone who walks away from the car after forgetting the child is in it.

Bullshit. He got away with because he's a cop and he's not the only one. It's still criminal negligence causing death.

This topic is f’ed. I remember worrying about leaving my kids in the car to drop an envelope into a mailbox.

I don't have kids and I worry about kids and critters being forgotten about in hot cars.

People have kids that STFU long enough to forget they're there? Wow, what a concept!
