Hold on now, I kind of like it.

Especially since the authors opinion piece and feeble attempt to include the the President of the US in her rant has given us a whole new metaphor and meaning to use. Now, when someone goes "all Trump" it can now mean not only be used in the negative where you're petty and small but, that now you've bested and embarrassed your political opponents while getting exactly what you wanted in the first place.

Well done Toronto Red Star for giving us a new term to use in our daily speech. ROTFL

After Independent MP asks to keep 1 of her 2 ministerial offices, Speaker Anthony Rota says he'll intervene

House of Commons Speaker Anthony Rota said that if Jody Wilson-Raybould refuses to move from her former ministerial offices, it will be his role to enforce the rules and evict her. (CBC News)

If it comes down to it, newly elected House of Commons Speaker Anthony Rota says he will evict Jody Wilson-Raybould, the Independent MP currently locked in a dispute over office space with her former party.

"I mean, obviously we have a process in place, there's a tradition in place," he said in a recent interview with Power and Politics host Vassy Kapelos. "Eventually, yeah, if she doesn't [vacate], it'll be someone from my office who has to enforce the rules so that Parliament can function."

Good for a laugh. More than anyone else JWR knows what a Pajama Boy our PM really is. If she digs in there's every chance that he'll cave in and just leave her the office to herself.

One problem with that scenario, Thanos - the liberal party have no say in office assignments - though they are allowed to ask for a specific one there is no guarantee they will get it. It is the job of the the HOC Admin to allocate office space which is why the Speaker is the one who will boot her arrogant ass out.

Exactly. I loathe the little twerp but this is NOT on him or the party. This is all on pugnacious Pug and her silly supporters who erroneously believed leaking this farce to the media was a great idea. So glad to see it backfired on all them. Be gone you silly irrelevant twit.

I'm only into it for the laffs. Nothing would please me more than for JWR to have a hundred or so Native protesters show up and shut down the building so no one can go in or out, and then refuse to leave until the government caves in. I have no dog in this fight at all. I really just want to see the virtue-signalling fools get badly embarrassed by this.

If you believe that she's out to actually get a ministerial office suite I've got a NY bridge for sale that you might be interested in.

This is one smart woman so, she knows she'll never get to keep the suite smudged or not and is actually just out to get back at, embarrass and annoy Dear Leader. Something that she's appears to be doing in spades.

So, now it doesn't matter if the gov't caves and lets her have the office or not. She's proved her point which means she's going to be seen as the real winner in this situation a fact which does nothing but enhance her reputation as an anti Trudeau Liberal.

It's all about image and perception. What she's trying to do is show that she's no longer a liberal lackey and can be counted on to stand up to Trudeau and the Liberal gov't. It plays well with both anti Trudeau people and especially her constituents.

So back to one of my initial posts where I said she was daring them because it plays well with her base. But the reason it’s called a base is that she’s already won them over. I don’t think she’ll gain from this.

I think your idea that she has a "base" are way off.
She was a convenient way to vote for them to rebuke Trudeau. There's no way in hell people in that riding would vote Tory. She could've won her seat as a Green.

That might be but, her base was liberal once upon a time and now it's not. A fact which makes this whole bun fight even more interesting to watch especially when you remember the two antagonists are both self entitled twits who were former comrades in arms and are now fencing over an office that is basically meaningless.

Besides being hilarious, these self serving antics by the former Minister of Justice/Attorney General do nothing but divide a large portion of the liberal voters based on race, gender and personal preference. which might be what she was really intent on doing in the first place.

But, no matter how this Gong Show turns out it's quite apparent that Jody Wilson Raybould only does things that benefit Jody Wilson Raybould a fact which first came to light during the Admiral Norman Star Chamber meetings when she was willing to hang an innocent man.
