Everybody seems to have a good life in Canada, except the ancestors of the people who got here first and the ancestors of slaves.

Refer to my previous post. No one is perfect. Everyone is focusing on the distant bad instead of the good because WOKE YO.

I really don't care that they rename places and streets. Maybe the natives have the right idea--nevermind naming after some rich 16th century equivalent of Jeff Bezos--go for Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump, or Turtle Island. And I much prefer Terminal City (as it was briefly known) to Vancouver.

But these puritans are frankly the modern equivalent of the monks that would parade up and down the street whipping their own backs to ribbons for the blight of their mere existence. What a fugly filosophy.

We can't undo the mistakes of the past, nor should we erase them. We can learn from them, not repeat them, and move on.

How about apologize for them? And how do you apologize for taking generations of people and forcing them into hard labour and mistreatment? Kind words? A little tear on the corner of the eye?

Money. That is how. Compensate the families of the wronged for the value they created and didn't get paid for. That's how you say 'sorry' and act like you mean it.
