Maybe the general populace will now turn their rage on those who support the Taliban and Al Qaeda.

It would sense (well, a little bit more) if the people were under the impression that the Pakistani government was behind the attack and not Al-Qaeda.

If you look at who has something to gain from this, it wouldn't be Al-Q, they have the most to lose. The frontier of Pakistan was the last safe haven in the world that Al-Q has. In other words you don't shit where you eat.

Pakistan is mostly ruled by warlords. These warlords have the same ideology as the Taliban and Al-Q, that's why they support them. Creating chaos before the countries election will throw the country into instability. A dream come true for these groups who want to take over Pakistan (a nuclear country).

Think about it that way.

Now we know why Canada, US and it's allies must stay in Afghanistan and Iraq....
