Forget the French we should bring back conscription and triple our troop numbers in A-stan. No country will fight the way that Canadian troops do!

I guess it wouldn't be proper to comment about the French..I mean they SEEM to be going.... Q. Why do we need France on our side against the Taliban? A. So the French can show them how to surrender. Q: How many Frenchmen does it take to defend Paris? A: Nobody knows, it's never been tried. Q. Why don't they have fireworks at Euro Disney? A. Because every time they shoot them off, the French try to surrender. Q: How many gears does a French tank have? A: 4 reverse and 1 forward, in case the enemy attacks from the rear. Q: How can you identify a French Infantryman? A: Sunburned armpits. Q. What do you call 100,000 Frenchmen with their hands up? A. The Army. Anyone see the French Military Rifle on eBay? It's never been shot and only dropped once! Guess not......Tain't funny, McGee.......

The point is the french will be recognized for their efforts by the good ole USA.. when you read papers in the US or listen to their news .. Canada is never mentioned ..alot of Americans dont even know we are there... so what did harper do blow sarkosy to get them to send some troups..?

Too many nations with troops in Afghanistan have placed them in quiet areas and added a list of caveats on what they are allowed to do. I'm sure US troops will be thrilled to learn the French may be sending fresh troops to a relatively safe zone to free them up to come to Kandahar. The polish foreign minister said it best when discussing putting troops in Afghanistan "Who gives without caveats gives twice".
