It seems like he addressed the question tactfully. Is his job performance poor? Is he compelling people to learn unorthodox/incorrect theories? When you take into account the fact that the vast majority of the world believes in a Creator of some sort, how this man believes that came about seems rather inconsequential. Leave him alone and let him do his job.

He's the Minister for Science. His stance on Evolution is an important consideration.

What a joke "Minister for Science", one of a number of post that Federal government needs to get ride of. Along with about 10+ cabinet posts. As for this beliefs, they do not matter. As long as they are left off of the job, which they have been.

Leave all Science to the private sector.

The whole minister is: Minister of Industry, Science and Technology

Still something the federal government should not be involved in.

I disagree strongly. Certain Science has no benefit to Private Industry. So if you want to advance it needs to be Publicly financed.

Much Medical Research, Astronomy, all types of highly theoretical science from Evolution to Atomic level stuff, much of the Biological studies, and more. Probably most of Science once you add it all up.

Part 1 of 2 from an Adler podcast. I'm not sold that this minister is out of line.

Anyone accepting the Flintstones as a documentary has no business holding the position of Minister of Industry, Science and Technology. His basic life affirming beliefs are in conflict with the Science and Technology part of the job.

Anyone saying the man can't do his job because of his religion is guilty of descrimination.

.. same crap as Kinsella's smear campaign against Day.
Time to grow up.

Could an Amish minister hold that ministers position with credibility?

Would an Amish man volunteer for the position, get elected, and perform suitably in the position? Judge the man by his actions. If he isn't working well, fire him. Otherwise, the time to raise such objections was prior to his appointment.

It’s time to remove the radical Reform religious element from the Conservative Party. Day is another perfect example of why. Day bragged about his beliefs and how it guided his daily life. I don’t want anyone’s interpretation of their belief in or "relationship" with God impacting my life.
