and crap -15 to -20 ! Brrrrrrrr. Its +22 C in my aparment now and my feet are frozen and feeling slightly cold !

Yeah, but The Netherlands has a wet cold (like Vancouver or around the Ontarian Lakes, or the east coast), and I am in the mountains, which makes it a dry cold (and a dry heat in Summer) and thus bearable. (thats a weird word, please correct me  )
