In the same vein, my concern about all of that hardware on the loose is that there is a very real potential for the police and military to hurt innocent civilians. With the police they're just never all that experienced with using such weapons and with the military their first priority is protecting their unit and to hell with civilians.

I've been wondering that as well, but I think the several agencies saw this as a great way to have an impromptu training exercise without having to beg for funds.

Also, we have to remember that last night these two killed one cop, critically injured another, and injured at least 15 more. I'm sure the local cops didn't have any trouble recruiting more help.

Boston Globe reporting the suspect has been found in a boat in a backyard. The suspect is not moving.

EDIT: He's moving now, but the boat may be full of gasoline. Not good considering he likes bombs.

That's a simplified excuse that passes the blame onto society rather than where it really belongs, on the heads of the terrorists, which is exactly what these two young men are.

No, terrorist has a clear definition: the advancement of a political or religious ideology, lets not muddy the water by calling everyone who murders a terrorist.

It doesn't say you have to advance a political or religous ideology, it just says "especially" for a political purpose. So given your criteria, Ted Kazinski was a just a misunderstood hermit.

But since you don't want to use the term terroist to describe these two poor youth what do we call them because it's pretty apparent that not every person under 30 who kills multiple people anonymously is a disenfranchised youth and even the dictionary can agree with that.
