Shouldn't I be free to choose a joint or two?

Not if it is illegal.

Excellent, and why is it illegal?
Pure politics in a perverted democracy;-)
You see Cannabis wasn't always illegal, in fact it was used in various forms as medicine for thousands of years.

The last half is true. The reason why it was banned in the USA is do to the fact that Hemp was begining to take the place of paper. The lumber industry lobbied for Hemp to be removed from viable use do to the THC count. Prior to their efforts the THC levels were considered so low as to be harmless. Todays pot has probably 1000 times more THC enriched then Hemp was. I'm in favour of bringing back hemp for use in many areas of industry. I'm not in favour of pot, a biproduct of Hemp, to be legal just so people can get dummer.

Would you happen to have any proof for this statement?

Hemp is legally grown in Canada today. That industry can certainly be expanded. I don't agree with you BS statement on the strength of today's and yesterday's cannabis though. Prior to it was hardly a concern due to low THC content, right. And if that's all you have then......

How is this any of your concern though? Personal choice comes to mind?

It had nothing to due with health.

http://medicalmarijuana.procon.org/view ... nID=000336

"For comparison, the national average of marijuana's THC content in 1978 was 1.37%, in 1988 it was 3.59%, in 1998 4.43%, and in 2008 8.49%."

Now hemp was banned in the late 1800's I think. so if the increase over just a 30year time span is this much I think it is safe to say that it has grown even more when compared to 1908 to 2008. A guess of 1000x's more THC is a reasonable guess. I do admit it is a guess.

Funny how people are ignoring what Trudeau actually said: that he'd tried pot, had a puff 5 or 6 times in his life, and wasn't a big fan of it. Most Canadians are liars if they claim they've not had at least 5 or 6 puffs. But the spin-doctors want to turn him into Cheech Marin over this. "Poor judgment", eh Mr. Mackay? That means you're calling most Canadians' judgment poor.

Lemmy he might have told the truth there about trying it 5-6 times. Thing is Bill Clintion said basicly the same thing but it was " I did not inhale" Kind of makes it a bit hard to trust that he just had a few puffs of it. Then again I will give him credit he admited to smoking it and I'm sure both in Canada and the USA we have a ton of poloticans that have done pot if not even stronger drugs.

Are you serious? This is your reasoning for stating there is 1000 X more THC? Laughable. Do you have any further "evidence" of your claim? Surely you are not suggesting that there was no such thing as a concentrate?

From your source:
$1:
Hashish and hash oil, on the other hand, showed no specific potency trends. Other major cannabinoids [cannabidiol (CBD), cannabinol (CBN), and cannabichromene (CBC)] showed no significant change in their concentration over the years."

But Cannabis has gotten 1000 X stronger? Oh I get it they use much less material now do they?

I think you also forgot to look at the Con side of the site. Just saying.

well considering that over 30yrs it did increasse by about 400% then to say that the previous 70yrs it may have grown buy 600% is reasonable. Thus my guess of 1000x stronger now then when it was banned.

Not sure why you are having such an issue with this. Must be your paranois getting the better of you.

Because what you say is not the entire truth, or in other words much of it is BS.

Ahaaaa, you old cherry picker you;-) Those numbers were for seeded crops as well but that don't matter eh. Not to mention they came from who knows where with what parameters.
As for real life experience, you really have no idea, lets just say I'm fully licensed and have been for a considerable time.

You can prove nearly everything with data, cherry pick and keep one eye half closed.

Not even close.

Average THC content in 1973 in the US was 1.37%. In 2008 it was 8.49%.

Hemp is manufactured from the stalk which doesn't contain any appreciable THC content.
