I saw this listing a week or two ago. One of the highest priced listings in Vancouver believe it or not.

Thought it was mighty expensive for just land (cause the house isn't worth squat). Didn't realize it'd become national news.

They shouldn't give a hoot if you show up and take it. I'm pretty sure the existing structure actually reduces the value of the property.

Just wait until an Aboriginal land claim is placed on it and the place becomes worthless. The Charter of Rights has no claim to ownership of personal property and with the Supreme Court's ruling on Aboriginal land claims in BC I don't think people in BC realize that essentially their properties are worthless if a claim is placed on the land their house is on.

__

That's true, this piece of land and others in Vancouver could become worthless over night.

Excellent location. If I were very wealthy I'd be interested.

26 million for only 1.2 acres. XD

Typical Wancouver where the only home owners are the rich stupid Chinese nationals. It's not an investment but a hole to bury your money in.

Saw the same thing and thought what a beautiful house it must have been at one time and how sad that it's a tear down because as a rehab it could have been brought back to it's former glory.

I'd love to have taken that project on but, unfortunately I don't have 25 plus million laying around at the moment.

Why does anyone care? It's not like taxpayers are being asked for the $25.8 million. If someone wants to spend $25.8 million of their own money to buy it then I say God bless them.

Meh, it has a lovely view of the oil tankers anchored in the inlet. Pass.

Transports, not tankers. If that's all you see, sucks to be you.

Every year what also can be seen from there: Mountains with and without snow, Symphony of Fire(or whatever it's called these days), sail boats, evening lights of West/North Vancouver, evening lights of the ski hills, evening lights of Downtown.

Looks like a tanker to me. Perhaps you need to have your eyes checked?

Nah, it's a Transport. There's usually at least half a dozen in the bay waiting for a dock to Load/Unload.
