So, the way to show the world you didn't hack Sony is to threaten to hack all sorts of other things? Makes perfect sense.
It's right up there with making highly publicized, unsubstantiated claims.
Or are we going to pretend that NK hasn't been under constant attack for the past week due to those claims?
I can tell you from experience, that there is a breadcrumb trail from a hacked server right back to the PC that the hack came from, if you know how to follow the trail. It's far from unsubstantiated. I'm sure that the reason the FBI took so long to call the Norks out was that they were making 100% sure that accusations were substantiated by evidence. And not just 1 line of evidence, but multiple examples.
And how many computers could NK power anyway? That can't afford streetlights as is. If both PCs are under constant attack, well, you reap what you sow.
I say just cut off internet access entirely for them, but I know their access all routes through China, and China is far more complicit at worldwide hacking than Kim Jun Haircut and his band of merry geeks. China is probably enjoying this distraction!
Hacking doesn't just cause the loss of confidential data, it can cause serious damage and put lives at risk.
