Wouldn't want any of Justin's future constituents to get hurt.

$1:
Asked whether Canadian military trainers will engage in front-line operations or on-the-ground combat alongside local security forces, Trudeau said, “this is a non-combat mission.”

Yes, that's the way to defeat ISIS. Without combat. Yeah, that'll work.

Don't get me wrong, the contribution of the training our troops will provide is important too but why withdraw our fighter jets?

But why withdraw our fighter jets?

Because Liberals are pussies, and think a selfie and free hugs will solve all the world's problems.

Canada’s revised military operation will see the size of its training and assisting mission triple to 207 Special Forces from the current 69, and the total number of Canadian Forces personnel increase to 830 from 650.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/canadian-fighter-jets-to-pull-out-of-fight-against-islamic-state-on-feb-22/article28644422/

Cue the partisan outrage:

"Trudeau's plan is putting our armed forces at greater risk by putting troops on the ground"
"Trudeau lied because this means this is now a combat mission when he said it wasn't."

That's what guys like Trudeau don't get, training them and not following them on missions cause them to lose respect for you and stop listening to you.

Thus becoming a waste of time.

I doubt you'll get any of those arguments from the average conservative voter. Most of us on here who are labelled right wing support the concept of training other people to fight their own wars.

What we don't support is withdrawing the damn combat jets that are supporting the people we train. Training people to fight ISIS is fucking useless if they are without air support, thus resulting in them being slaughtered by machine gun positions that would otherwise have been eradicated by a bomb from a CF-18. Might as well not train them at all, they might live longer.

Don't tell the Liberals that. They think it's 1976 and the military is still Chretien's Boy Scouts.

Bad news Trudeau. It's 2016 and the world's changed. You can no longer place people in between warring factions and expect them to remain relatively safe. The people involved in these conflicts now have no respect for the Blue Beret and rightfully so. The UN's peacekeeping organization had denigrated into a giant cluster fuck dominated by oligarchs who willingly turned a blind eye to the rape and murder of the people they were supposed to protect.

And for the record, old school UN Peace Keeping died in Rwanada at the same time those 10 Belgian Peacekeepers were murdered.

I got a bit of a smile out of the way a counter-jihadi site wrote up this story.

CANADA’s stealth Muslim Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, will end all military action against ISIS and use Canadian military bases to house as many as 50,000 Muslim invaders every year

$1:
It’s shocking that Canadian Armed Forces personnel will be ordered to abandon the coalition battle against ISIS and return to Canada to become waiters, chauffeurs and social workers for ungrateful Muslim migrants. Taxpayer-funded Canadian Forces Bases will be turned into welfare camps for Muslims who will turn them into squalid, garbage-ridden dumping grounds as they have all over Europe.

http://www.barenakedislam.com/2016/02/0 ... very-year/

Admittedly that's a little beefed up.

However...

The Rebel goes into more detail on that last bit.

$1:
The Canadian military has been ordered by Justin Trudeau’s Liberals to draft plans to house more than 6,000 Muslim migrants on a long-term basis at military bases, according to documents obtained exclusively by The Rebel

Included in the Department of National Defence budgets are hundreds of thousands of dollars set aside for “religious support," including the purchase of Muslim Korans, prayer mats and foot-washing towels.

The plans also call for the construction of mosques or “worship centres," using taxpayers dollars.

The planning documents, in English and French, were released in response to a Rebel "Access to Information" request about religious expenditures by the Department of National Defence.

But the detailed Quebec budget plans also shed light on the sheer scale of the Trudeau government’s plans to set up refugee camp-style accommodations on seven Canadian Forces Bases across Quebec and Ontario.

The budget for Quebec alone totals more than $46 million for the first six months.

For a typical migrant family, that’s a $200,000/year subsidy — not including medicare or welfare.

It’s shocking that Canadian Armed Forces personnel will be ordered to abandon the coalition battle against ISIS and return to Canada to become waiters, chauffeurs and social workers for Muslim migrants, and that Canadian Forces Bases will be turned into squalid refugee camps.

It’s a disgrace that Canadian military personnel have been sent eviction notices to make way for foreign migrants.

But for the DND's budget to be diverted away from military purposes and towards buying Korans and building mosques for foreign migrants, is especially outrageous.

Holy blue blazing Christ and Hell !!!

I posted the above before I realized exactly what was in it from the Rebel.

If half of that is true, and it looks like it is, it's beyond nuts. The story needs its own thread, but it's too late now.

Oh well...the mainstream will have to acknowledge it sooner or later. We'll discuss it then I guess.

And yet, look at this thread. Conservatives have already decided that Trudeau is worse than Stalin and everything he does is wrong/evil/stupid just because it is. The groupspeak is "Trudeau is soft on ISIS", so now he announces a policy that steps up our military commitment to fighting ISIS, which is exactly what conservatives were screaming for, so now what? We'll have to wait and see how the geniuses will spin this. Likely something like "Well, yeah this is a good idea, but Trudeau will likely turn our military bases into Jihadi training centres" or some other moronic drivel.

Trudeau campaigned on the promise of getting the jets (all 6 of them, rusty and all) out. What if he had broken that promise? What would the geniuses be saying then? They wouldn't be praising Trudeau for a policy decision they support. They'd be ripping him for being a flip-flopping, promise-breaker. There's no pleasing people who's minds (well, if they had any) are already made up.
