It took fekin long enough. It's been 52 years since the East Germans who were the masters of doping closed themselves off to the sporting world and created state sponsored doping.

Coach85 Coach85:
This doesn't go far enough. All athletes from Russia should have been banned.

FWIW, the Olympics have been a joke for years.

The only organization that out corrupts the IOC is FIFA.
Even then, most days it is a photo finish.
Something to remember when who is banning who.

This may all blow over into a bit of a nothing burger too:

$1:
Zhukov believes there are "positive and negative sides" to the IOC decision, portraying it as a compromise. Zhukov was pleased the IOC has decided to use the term "Olympic Athlete from Russia" as opposed to "Independent Olympic Athlete," which has previously been used for suspended countries.

"They'll be called Russian athletes and not some kind of neutrals. That's very important," said Zhukov, who added that Russian athletes and officials need time to consider the decision.

Well that's a damn shame.

But this subversive horsecrap of letting Russians compete without flag or anthemn, that's just sick.

Shame on the IOC, but not surprising to expect any different.

You should watch "Icarus" on Netflix. Their cheating was not only blatant, but state sponsored.

They reap what the Kremlin has sown.

Lance Armstrong told me I don't have to.

I have learned enough over the years; 'we' are no better, except in covering it up.

Lance is also banned from the Olympics.

Why are you such a Russian apologist?

Nothing wrong with Russian doping.
Nothing wrong with Russian hacking
Nothing wrong with Russian invasion of Ukraine

Does the Kremlin pay you in rubles or what?

Armstrong wasn't state sanctioned. The venues at the Sochi Olympics were specifically designed with hidey holes that a worker could take urine samples from Russian athletes, pass them through the hole where they would be opened and the contents replaced. Then brought back, and passed off as genuine. But the Russian samples later showed subtle signs of tampering with the 'tamper proof' container.

Western athletes might use drugs in order to compete with Russians, and know how to cover it up, but they don't use the drugs during competition because the samples will be altered. That's pretty bold, if you ask me.

Watch the documentary. All the evidence is there, from the former head of the Russian ministry for athletics. He details how Russia has cheated for decades! Russia does not deserve to be recognized in the Olympics because they have actively cheated on testing to cover up their athletes use of performance enhancing substances.

This has to be fake news because numerous people here at CKA insist that Russia is entirely innocent on everything.

Not even a hair. It's like having shots right before a breathalyzer, right in front of the cop, and not getting busted because you know someone else will breathe into the machine instead of you.

Seriously, watch the documentary and get informed. It's ironic that the guy was trying to dope and not get caught for amateur cycle racing, and ended up exposing the entire Russian Olympic doping scheme.

It's kind of funny to watch you deny this, considering it's pretty much as proven as the Sun rising in the east. The only one denying it is Putin, to try to salvage some of his machismo.

It's kind of funny when you are going to show me where I denied any of it.

I only point out the West is just as bad.

But, you know, Russia bad. Always. Only Russia.
We in the West we all pure as the driven snow.

Yeah,
No.
