HA! Otter wins again, steals food right out of the traps!

$1:
She says the salmon, tuna and chicken were gone from one of the traps when staff arrived Thursday morning, but there was no immediate sign that any more koi had been eaten overnight.
Related Stories

One of the traps is barely a metre from what officials believe is the otter's new den and another is near the area where staff have found gnawed remains of most of the six large, valuable koi that were among more than a dozen of the garden's once-thriving carp stocks.

As of Sunday the score now stands at......

The Elusive Otter 10....Vancouver Parks Board 0

Three more Koi were taken by the otter over the weekend while they managed to capture one of them and remove it to an undisclosed destination.......the Vancouver Aquarium. There are still 3 fish remaining at Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden which are proving to be extremely difficult to capture.

Apparently the remaining koi fish are smarter than the humans chasing them as well.

Coi are just fancy goldfish, aka: snacks.

The latest word from those at Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden.

$1:
Staff at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden where a koi-eating otter remains at large are now trying to save the few remaining fish, but first they have to find them in the murky koi pond.

That's why they are now draining the pond, hoping to bring the water level down enough to be able to find and relocate the three remaining fish before the otter turns them into another meal. "The great size of the pond and low visibility made it near impossible to spot or corral the fish," staff said in said a news release. "Garden staff will resume koi rescue efforts when the water has reached an amenable level."

One of the garden's colourful koi has already been relocated to the Vancouver Aquarium. The otter eaten 10 others at the popular Chinatown attraction in Vancouver.

No sign of marauding otter as surviving koi wait to return to Sun Yat-Sen garden

$1:
The otter's reign of terror is over, hopefully for good.

The river otter that's been eating prized koi at Vancouver's Dr. Sun Yat-San Classical Chinese Garden hasn't been seen since Saturday.

It's too bad that this fella has no idea that he provided us all with some much-needed distraction from the ugly realities of the news.

Sad for the fishies but life is life and he was only doing what came natural for him to do.
