Who says there's no middle ground in politics? President Donald Trump and Cher have found an issue on which they can agree.

After President Trump said he liked the idea of transporting illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities, the singer/actress, who usually leans towards the liberal end of the political spectrum, argued that Los Angeles can't even handle its own homeless population.

"Sanctuary city" is not a legal term but is a phrase used to describe jurisdictions – cities, counties, states – that don't fully comply with federal immigration enforcement.

"I Understand Helping struggling Immigrants but MY CITY (Los Angeles) ISNT TAKING CARE OF ITS OWN," she wrote in a tweet Sunday. "WHAT ABOUT THE 50,000+Citizens WHO LIVE ON THE STREETS? PPL WHO LIVE BELOW POVERTY LINE,& HUNGRY? If My State Can’t Take Care of Its Own (Many are VETS), How can it Take Care Of More?"

On Monday, the president issued a tweet he probably never thought possible: "I finally agree with Cher!"

I don't think Detroit, the Dakotas or even Detroit for sure has offered refuge and by extension open invitation to illegals orally or in writing the way cities like some of the Californian cities have.

Trump is saying to the sanctuary cities 'You want it. You got it.'

Apparently some of the better off progressive celebrity types like Cher are noticing the benefits of open border policies getting uncomfortably close to the estate and are rethinking their "champions of diversity" status.
