I'd counter if I knew what you were talking about.

Carbon Dioxide doesn't have anything to do with air pollution, I know that.

. You never know what anyone is talking about. Hasn’t stopped you before.

ONCE AGAIN Trump has effectively legalized all air and water pollution not just CO2. You said you were opposed to pollution except CO2. You said “let’s stop that”. So are you opposed to this broad legalization of pollution or what?

You know nothing. Man-made CO2 is bad, You can have too much of anything, even stuff that occurs naturally, if humans co
E along and atart producing more than the biosphere can absorb

The oil and gas industry were among the industries that had sought an advance relaxation of environmental and public-health enforcement during the outbreak, citing potential staffing problems. The EPA's decision was sweeping, forgoing fines or other civil penalties for companies that failed to monitor, report or meet some other requirements for releasing hazardous pollutants.

So is that a good policy? Is that what you're asking?

I don't know. Doc's News story told us actual air pollution is substantially down since this pandemic.

If that is the case it's probably OK to loosen regulations until that changes. They'll have to monitor it though. To know when to switch back.

American and Canadian air is pretty pristine when compared to countries like China and India. I'd like to keep it that way.

Oh and I'm not "opposed to pollution except CO2."

I'm opposed to pollution. I'm fine with CO2. It helps the pretty flowers grow.

Then please tell everyone how you make air pollution without producing CO2.

Trump is relaxing ALL pollution: air, water, toxic chemicals, heavy metals, They don’t “have” to monitor anything since there’s no consequence for failing to monitor.

And even if by some miracle the polluters do decide to “monitor” it doesn’t stop the damage from actually happening. Asking a murderer to voluntarily monitor how many people he kills still means he’s killing people even if keeps accurate records. The polluters can now just open up the valves and dump all the mercury, sulphur, lead and god knows what else into the nation’s air and water doin irreparable harm with no consequence whatsoever, whether they monitor it accurately or not at all.

Not exactly.

$1:
The EPA directive said industries would be expected to comply with regulations "where reasonably practicable." Businesses that broke regulations would have to be able to show that they tried to reduce the harm, and show how any violations were caused by the coronavirus outbreak, the EPA said.

Ex regulators from the Obama administration don't like it. I guess they still want to feel they're important.

This pandemic can't last forever. I suspect everything will slow down for awhile. Hopefully the new guys can handle it.

Notice all the vagueness and subjectivity.

Who judges what is “reasonably practicable”, what is sufficient effort to “reduce harm” and what ls sufficient evidence of COVID ? The same pro-pollution stooges who were trying to kill environmental regulations long before COVID came along

But don’t worry when the massive increase in toxic air and water pollution comes along I’m sure you’ll have another creative explanation of how it’s all Obama’s fault.

I'm sure they think they need increased environmnetal pollution in order to cope with the effects of this virus, errr something something.

No, this is not in error. A huge amount of Biohazard material is going to have be incinerated without special facilities to do so or else it will pile up in hospitals. Fuck the environmentalists, this shit has to be burned.

My own agency made research paper helper for students and was trying to force a slow down of the construction of field hospitals for required plan review and in at least three cases our field inspectors were escorted off the property and legally trespassed by law enforcement.

This is not business as usual and anyone who thinks it is will at some point be fired, arrested, or shot by people who have their priorities in proper order.

That is a narrow section of the regulations, which could have been relaxed individually. Why then did they reduce protections for the Oil and Gas industry, for instance?

Why did they reduce?
Cause there is no option to avoid it.
