Just more inaccurate information that passes the blame onto someone other than just the gov't.

Either the author of the article is incapable of reading or, anything past yesterday is old news not worthy of being investigated but if he had tried he might have found out that "some" in our intelligence community sounded the alarm long before this virus became an issue.

So, this wasn't a "failure of early warning" it was a failure of communication in that some in the gov't didn't listen to or chose to ignore the military intelligence unit who warned them in January about what was coming down the pipe.

I saw the same lag at the health care agency where I work and let's be honest that it wasn't a failure of intelligence or information because we saw signs of this as early as November when initial reports suspected a new outbreak of pneumonic plague in Hubei.

Well into late February upper management was threatening people who talked about this because they didn't want to offend the Chinese, they didn't want to 'start a panic', and they wanted people to focus on work instead of paying attention to COVID-19 which was actually much more important.

The malicious management class reared their ugly fucking heads at the start of this pandemic and that happened all over the world. Not just Canada.
