Guess that when the former moderates and liberals, even here at a place like CKA, now all agree that any non-white can just yell "racist!" whenever anyone disagrees with them (like when the Bloc MP merely disagreed over a point of order or procedure) then we're now exactly at the place Andrew Sullivan described a few years back. "We All Live On Campus Now", and damn the poor fools to hell who won't go along with the mob.

The same as we can brush aside living as a visible minority like Singh has had to.

The Bloc MP said "no" to something Singh wanted. If saying no equals racism then dissent is now and forever dead.

And there's also those with naturally tyrannical impulses being clever enough to exploit a moment in order to expand their power and prestige, and to get their agenda forced on the public despite them being unpopular enough to not win an election. The totalitarians from both sides are exactly the same.

And a reminder is due that Saint Jagmeet isn't allowed into India because of his open support for the Sikh terrorist organization that assassinated two Indian prime ministers and perpetrated the Air India bombing that killed almost 300 Canadians. There's your beacon of dignified leadership for you right there, all you brave anti-racists.

It shows the extremist nature of the person making extreme allegations today. Is there any actual evidence that the Bloc prick is a racist, or is his saying "no" to something Singh wanted all the proof that's needed?

Left-wing grandstanding and stunt-booking. That's all any of this tempest in a piss-pot really is.

No, it shows the extremest nature of people who ignore his statements:

$1:
“I condemn all acts of terrorism in every part of the world, regardless of who the perpetrators are or who the victims are,” [Jagmeet Singh] said in a statement sent to the Post on Wednesday. “Terrorism can never be seen as a way to advance the cause of any one group. It only leads to suffering, pain and death.”

https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/ ... separatist

He can support the idea of an independent Sikh state, and condemn the people who use violence to achieve it.

Perhaps the Block wasn't being racist. Perhaps Jagmeet interpreted his hand waving incorrectly.

But that doesn't dismiss the experience Singh has had being a visible minority in Canada. I have Sikh friends and colleagues, I see and hear about the bullshit they go through all the time. And Jagmeet has had to experience it from our own Prime Minister.

To be honest, I don't care much about Jagmeet or his politics. But I am willing to accept that he knows more about systemic racism in Canada than I do.

bootlegga bootlegga:
It's also somewhat interesting that conservative supporters are voicing support for a separatist party...it's sad when partisan politics take precedence over national unity.
Indeed.
They are all playing along with the same goal: sowing civil disorder and keeping the population divided.

WTF has Singh's politics got to do with a motion on systematic racism?
A brown person asks for a motion of support and the Bloc says no. That pretty much makes everyone's position clear.
You'll stand around and watch a wrong but not condemn it? Then you support it.

Whatever. Unanimity of thought, especially when it's coerced through probably bogus accusations, is Orwellian to it's core. Good to see so many Canadian leftists reveal themselves to be such absolutists they could all fit in very comfortably with the "you're either with us or against us" mentality of the GW Bush administration.

Once again, is there any evidence the Bloc prick is actually a racist or is his dissent on a motion the only proof needed to justify Singh's hysterics?

Unanimity of kindness is the opposite of Orwellian.
