COVID is making a comeback in BC. R > 1. Restaurants, bars and parties seem to be the culprit in the latest flare-ups.

In spite of all the videos showing young people ignoring the safe distancing rules and not wearing masks which has now caused an upsurge in virus cases here in BC, the government is planning on going ahead with allowing drinking in parks. What a great idea./s

That's a local gov't decision to make. Should be a relatively simple one considering people drinking ARE the spreaders right now.
New rules for bars and restaurants:
No mingling, must stay at own table
No self-serve allowed, server must bring drinks to your table.
No dance floors.
AFAIK smorgs&salad bars are already banned.
Many places mask required except when you're seated at your table.

Had a hell of a time going for dinner in Prince George last night. Many big places are still take out only (their choice), as are almost all smaller ones because they can't meet distancing requirements. Kind of ruled out sushi in some 12 table in the size of my kitchen. Other places have hanging plastic barriers around tables that hopefully blocks out the TV noise, but I won't go out for fucking chicken wings anyways....

I'm quite sure people have been drinking alcohol in parks for a long time. The only difference now is that they won't have to hide it.
